A bit more on my walk cycle. still needs alotttt of cleaning up, and i am aware the floor level changes on the last few frames and also the size of my character. Whist drawing these in my spare time the floor slowly rose by about 4 cm of the course of 100 drawings... but lesson learnt :)

Wednesday 30 November 2011

A little go at the start up scene i was talking about. I am aware that its really fast paced and i am planning on adding a few more frames in and it still needs a lot of wok. It was a just a half hour doodle session really but i think its the just of what i was going for
Try 2
This is my go at adding the arms into my basic walk cycle. i tried to experiment with his hands and rally tried to emphasise his shoulder adding to his 'creep'
My next mover is to 1 clean up the few frames i have found don't quite flow and to have him approaching his first obstacle... The puddle.
I have found that his right leg changes size right in the middle and that his left arms disapears entirely through the centre of the walk so this is definatley something i have to clean up.
Last night i had an idea for a startup scene we he escapes his 'bounds' and sneaks away so i am planning on working on this briefly when i have some time.

2nd go

This is another idea for a walk for my walking character there is a few issues with the size of his legs changing. And i decided to start with to just animate the bounce and the legs then add the arms in later... My story is of a scarecrow who escapes his bounds :)

Thursday 10 November 2011

Si i managed to get the sound on it.... but its a bit out wich is what i expected. I am aware that near the end his eyebrows and eyes actually look demented on the word "for" and i am planning on sorting that one out very soon...
any other comments would be really helpful
BTHDB
:)

 another go :)

This is my first go at ading my inbetween frames. Im not overly happy with them to be honest. But for the moment im going to work on the timing more and try to sync it with the sound.  Then i will go back to the drawing board and focus on the outlines and shapes.

Wednesday 9 November 2011

these are my key frames for the lip sync. Im not too happy with them i happy with the mouth shapes and eyes but im going to redraw his shoulders as they move up and down and it doesn't look right. So back to the drawing board i go :)

Character lip sync frames for expressions a mouth movements

So these are my second go at my lip sync. Previously i did a profile design and found it a bit trickier to show the movement of the the mouth and expression so i gave it another shot. ( i will post the original :)) I am using sound from an old childrens program and i really like the sounds the character makes so i decided on that.. the caption says " oh well theres only one thing for it"
i found it easier doing my keyframes using these sheets so hopefuly when i finish my first set of inbetween frames its will hopefuly come out ok.

Thursday 3 November 2011

This is my recent attempt at the walk cycle i have added more of a bob and  tried to make the arms a bit more smoother... hopefully its slightly better and more of an improvement. i am having trouble with the movement of the upper body as it looks like my man is walking like a 'pigeon' some people have commented but not really sure how to figure that one out :/

Friday 7 October 2011

So this is my first attempt at polishing up my walk cycle, it has those extra frames in there now but its being played at 24fps. It would be better at 12 as its pretty fast.

Tuesday 4 October 2011

These are my first contact point drawing for my walk cycle.
I have since completed the cycle but still a little to do so i will post that another day... :)

A little and basic bounce i did just to familiarise myself more with the stretch and squash of the ball

This is my second attempt at a different ball bounce. I think this one went better as i kept it a little more simpler and tried harder to keep the characterisation of the ball the same throughout, again it still needs polishing up so any comments would be appreciated :)

so this is my first attempt at a ball bounce. I think my problem with this was i started to big for myself as a complete beginner and didn't quite get the timing and spacing right on the bounces and therfore didn't hit the nail on the head with the characterisation of the ball. i need to polish this up and i am planning on sorting out the bounce from the right corner...so this will be re posted :) at some point
So this is my first post and first blogger experience :/ and from a complete technophobe this is a lot for me to accomplish :D....
I have done a few basic animations in the first few classes and have yet to polish them up but hopefuly here they are >>
enjoy :)
